Thanksgiving is approaching, which means cranberry sauce season will soon arrive. I've tried making fancy sauces & sugar-free sauces, & while they're very, very good, I like basic so I follow the recipe on the bag. It recommends to boil them for ten minutes, stirring occasionally, but I like to mash them during this time. This helps thicken the sauce.
1 bag cranberries
1 cup sugar
1 cup water
1. Over medium heat, mix together sugar & water.
2. When boiling, add the cranberries.
3. Boil for about 10 minutes. During this time, mash the cranberries so they pop open. Doing this will thicken the sauce.
